Hi friends! Thank you so much for joining us here.

We hope to provide you with some questions to spark reflection on the Psalms.

If you want to, you can share some of your thoughts in the comments section below. We would love to hear how God is working in your heart.

You can listen to Psalm 27 here. You can find Psalm 27 in the New International Version here.

Journal Starter for Psalm 27

In Psalm 27, David says he asks "one thing" of the LORD.
If you could ask God for one thing, what would it be? Imagine receiving what you've asked for— are you satisfied? How does receiving it change you?
David says he wants to be with the LORD and gaze on His beauty forever.
Imagine being in God's presence. Imagine a bright, warm light shining from Him. Imagine His dazzling beauty.  Imagine Him holding you in His arms with the love of a father for a child. What happens? How do you feel?
In this chapter, David writes a lot about his enemies. They want to devour him.
What is trying to devour you in your life right now? What/who are your enemies? Your enemies might be people, difficult circumstances, or sin.

Imagine God fighting your enemies for you— what does that look like? What role do you play? What does He ask you to do (if anything)?
David says he is confident that he will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
How have you seen and experienced God's goodness?
