The Lord is Near
You can listen to Psalm 145 below and read the passage in the New International Version here.
“The Lord upholds all who fall
and lifts up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food at the proper time.
You open your hand
and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does.
The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them.
The Lord watches over all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord.
Let every creature praise his holy name
for ever and ever.”

This is the final psalm of David recorded in the Book of Psalms. In it, we see a combination of the praise of all generations and all creatures and David's personal praise. Verses 4 through 6 are a great example of this:
One generation commends your works to another;
they tell of your mighty acts.
They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—
and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
They tell of the power of your awesome works—
and I will proclaim your great deeds.

How has God shown His power in your life?God's people respond to His greatness with praise! We see that in this psalm. The very next verse says, "They celebrate your abundant goodness/ and joyfully sing of your righteousness."
How do you celebrate (or how do you want to celebrate) God's abundant goodness?
Do you have opportunities to "joyfully sing" of God's righteousness?Have you ever gone through a time when you didn't have other followers of Jesus to worship with in person? What was that like for you? How does being able to worship God with other people encourage you?
We learn in verses 15 and 16 that God provides for every living thing.
How do you see God providing for you?
How do you see God providing for the world?David wrote, "The LORD is near to all who call on/ him,/ to all who call on him in truth" (18).
How does the knowledge that God is near to you when you call on Him comfort you?
What does it look like to call on God in truth?
