You can listen to Psalm 150 below and read the passage in the New International Version here.

Praise the Lord.

Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.
— Psalm 150

Hi friends! Thank you so much for joining us here.

We hope these journal starters spark reflection on the Psalms.

If you want to, you can share some of your thoughts in the comments section below. We would love to hear how God is working in your heart.

Journal Starter for Psalm 150

This is the finale of the entire Book of Psalms! It can be seen as a response to all the worthiness of God revealed in the previous 149 psalms.

  1. Take some time to look back through the journal entries you have written in response to the psalms. You could do this in one sitting or spread it out over a few days.

    What stands out to you as you reflect on this journey through the psalms? How has God worked in your heart, comforted you, or challenged you? What have you learned about God and yourself?

  2. Write your own psalm in response to all God has done for you. It can be as short or long as you want.

  3. I invite you to read Psalm 150 or your own psalm of praise out loud!

    Praise the Lord.
    Praise God in his sanctuary;
        praise him in his mighty heavens.
    Praise him for his acts of power;
        praise him for his surpassing greatness.
    Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
        praise him with the harp and lyre,
    praise him with timbrel and dancing,
        praise him with the strings and pipe,
    praise him with the clash of cymbals,
        praise him with resounding cymbals.
    Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
    Praise the Lord.

    How is God inviting you to praise Him today?
